Bili lights
David was discharged from Primary Children's this afternoon. He has to be on the bili blanket until Friday if his bilirubin level drops down. Here he is on the lights. What a cutie!

Christmas
We had to go to the ER on Christmas day for another bilirubin draw because the outpatient lab was closed. The result was higher than yesterday and poor Dr. Cannon called us to give us bad news. He said he was sorry for having to do this to us on Christmas, but David had to be admitted to Primary Children's Hospital. What a way to spend Christmas! We can just pretend that David was on a holiday in sunny tropics. He was under two huge bili lights overhead and a bili blanket underneath. He had nice little eye covers and looked like he was basking under the sun. Unfortunately, with all the stress of the day, I didn't take the camera to record the momentous occassion.

Christmas Eve
David had to have another bilirubin draw (checks the level of jaundice) on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately, it was a critical value and he ended up being on bili lites. This is David on the bili bed and the bili blanket is wrapped around his little belly. He was supposed to be on the lights as much as possible and to come off them to feed every three hours. Merry Christmas, baby!
